Maxthon's History and Honors
- 2003 - MyIE2 redefined the browsing experience
- 2004 - MyIE2 was reborn as Maxthon, expanding the concept of what a browser can do in ways that hadn't been seen before
- 2005 - Maxthon users evolved into a growing community, and Maxthon harvested the first of many awards
- 2006 - Microsoft partnered with Maxthon for 2006 Consumer Electronics
- 2007 - We released a whole new Maxthon 2.0
- 2008 - Maxthon won its first Webware 100 award, receiving more votes than any of the other Internet products. Downloads of Maxthon from its main site reached 170 million.
- 2009 - Maxthon won its second Webware 100, beating all other browsers. New partnerships included the largest search engine in Russia, Yandex. New browser features included adding the saving of Favorites online and additional crash protection.
- 2010 - Maxthon was chosen to be on the European "browser ballot," a screen from which European Windows users will chose the browsers they want to use.
Maxthon International is a company that focuses on new Internet browsing technology to deliver to users an easier and yet more productive surfing experience.
The company and the community will always work together to improve our products and to expand what a browser can do.
Maxthon users do not simply surf the Web - they will sieze it, harvesting information, friendships, and opportunities other
browsers pass by.
Maxthon is more than a company. It is a community made up of Maxthon's own staff, outside developers who donate their time
and code, and enthusiastic users who run websites dedicated to Maxthon and spread the word about what we're trying to do.
